Training Philosophy:
Barnett Performance Horses has limited training slots available each year to outside horses. We strongly believe in giving our horses a solid foundation on which to start their careers. We take the extra time to insure Horses are started quietly and correctly before they move into the demanding training program of the discipline chosen for them. Shawn believes a horse should be broke, have a job and do its job correctly with a good attitude. He also believes it needs to be fun for both the rider and the horse to be successful now and in the future.

He will also be upfront with you. If he believes that he will not be able to get your horse to do what you need, Shawn will tell you. This will give you the ability to make other decisions for that horses career.
Throughout the years, we have been privileged to build many fine teams of riders and horses. We take special care and a personal interest in assisting our Clients to match the abilities and needs of both the horse and the rider. Many clients have been with us since we first started training more than a decade ago.

Our Services:

Facilities include:

• 175 X 300 Outdoor Large arena
•  60 X 270 Outdoor Calf Lane
• 60' round pen

Training Information:

• Training Fees without Cattle  $550.00 a month, this includes Board & Feed
• Training Fees with Cattle $650 a month, this includes Board & Feed
•  $50 a Month  Extra for Stallions
• Rope Horses will be hauled and exposed to other facilities as part of training
• 2- One hour Lessons are free with horses in training
• $15 a day for specific challenges with horses. Hobbles, Trailer Loading and Unloading, tying, etc.

Clinics and Lessons:

• Lessons without cattle are $35 an hour
• Lessons with cattle are $50 an hour
• Shawn enjoys to work and put on clinics to help with promote better Horsemanship for all events.

4-H Clinics:
Horsemanship clinic for 4-H kids/leaders/parents, or clinic for leaders on how to present horsemanship to their kids.

Shawn  offers clinics on Horsemanship, Reining, and all Roping Events. Clinics are offered from 1 or 2 days. Shawn will tailor a clinic format to your needs, interests, and experience level.
